A sweet kitty who
only wanted love.

There is so much that can be said about Buzz. My grandparents adopted him sometime around the turn of the century. I hadn't met him before, but my mom had. According to her he was a very well behaved cat. Knew his bounderies and did as he was told. My grandparents were not happy with how she spoiled him while she was up visiting them. He was a Pennsylvania kitty until a couple of years ago when he made the long trip down here to Texas.

He was nervous at first. We had the hardest time getting him out of the U-haul. It didn't take long for him to make himself right at home. Within weeks he was resting on the furniture and jumping up on the counter to get his food. He was a sweetheart who didn't mind tripping you if it meant you'd lean down to pet him. Or if it meant a can of food in the near future. He'd take a few steps, then stop and look back to make sure you were following.

He was close friends with Sasha and, I believe, missed her terribly when she passed. He never got along with Onyx and didn't really appreciate Jet's enthusiasm. But he got along, minding his own business and grabbing his love when he could. He touched all of our hearts very deeply. There were a few times when he got out of the house and as far as we could tell out of the yard. It was usually no trouble to hunt him down. Sometimes he would just dart out of the house, run to the back porch and lay on the loveseat. One of the cutest things he would do was paw at the ground in front of the water dish before drinking. Sometimes for a few minutes! We'll never forget that. Or his favorite "tuck & dive" sleeping position. He got sick last Christmas, but bounced back. This time, I think, was just too much. Now, we take comfort in the fact that he's reunited with his old playmate Sasha and his first adopted mother (my grandma). We'll miss you Buzzy, and we'll never stop loving you.
