A vibrant soul who was
taken from us much too soon.

Sasha became a part of our family shortly before the new year. She was so tiny, you'd have thought she was a kitten instead of a chow puppy! Even over the years as she grew, she never got very big. Certainly not as big as you would expect a chow to get. She had a hard time gaining weight, but was always playful and full of energy. Sasha and my mom had an instant bond. They even had a game where she'd have to shake with both paws and high five to get a treat. An amazing sight concidering her short attention span.
She was certainly one of those dogs whose bark is worse than her bite. . . . especially since she never bit anyone. There were days when her drive to defend the home by barking at God only knows what would drive us crazy, but we were always thankful when she'd let us know that someone was there. Sometimes she'd bark loud enough that people were afraid to come in the gate, even though she was inside the house.
I'm happy to say that even living in Texas she got to experience the one real snow that we had. She had an absolute blast chasing after snowballs. Which was perfect for her. She loved chasing balls and sticks, would run up, nab 'em, and then bring them only 1/2 way back. lol
She had the biggest heart, and always knew when you were upset. Her best friend was a kitty named Buzz. You can see them together in one of the pics. They were the cutest mis-matched pair. She had her moments, but her presense was always comforting. She will be missed by all of us . . . not just the humans.
